- Abstract
The article focuses on the need to plan for digital assets. It depicts that a digital assets planning is important for preventing such assets from identity theft and protecting the confidential data from being discovered. It discusses the existing state laws related to data protection. It provides suggestions for planning and presents a commentary on topics relating to implementation of such laws. It informs about legal uncertainties regarding clients' digital asset disposition, individuals' plans for management, ownership, and destruction of digital assets based on the foundational principles of their intent. It reflects that disposition of internet accounts and digital assets depend on clients' emotional and financial values.
