- Abstract
The article recounts the making of the 1960s Australian film "They're a Weird Mob." It cites that director Michael Powell collaborated with J.O. Williams Ltd. to produce the film based from a Nino Culotta or John O'Grady novel. It notes that screenwriter Emeric Pressburger was employed by Powell for the novel's screenplay adaptation. It relates that the motion picture did not succeed at first but gets its spotlight when screened at the State Theatre in Sydney, New South Wales in August 1966.
