- Abstract
The article discusses the application of simulation training in ophthalmology education. Some of simulation modalities in ophthalmology education include high-fidelity patient simulators, simulated patients, virtual reality simulation and simulated clinical immersion. Some of the benefits of using simulation as part of the curriculum include improving clinical skills and competence, helping students to practice in a safe environment, and reduced complications.
