- Title
PALEOANTHROPOLOGY 2011 Part 2.
- Authors
Rice, Patricia C.
- Abstract
The article offers news briefs related to paleoanthropology. Fossils of an 18-month-old infant and an adult from the Australopithecus sediba family were added to two similar fossils found in South Africa. The Byzovaya site in the Ural Mountains in Russia has been dated between 34 to 31 one thousand years or millennium (kyr). Skulls with brain surgery or trepanation found in the Middle East Bronze Age suggest that the operation was common.
