- Abstract
The article offers information on the judicial decision of the Supreme Court of the State of New York in the case of In re City of New York regarding the use of the Takings clause in acquisition of the private property for public use by the government under the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. It informs that the plaintiffs Lawrence and Liana Paolella claimed for just compensation against the New York City government's acquisition of their wetlands under their due process rights.
