- Abstract
The article discusses a study which revealed that the house dust mite Dermatophagoides farina was the most common allergen for allergic rhinitis in North East Malaysian patients. It mentions that the study analyzed 128 allergic rhinitis patients from the Otorhinolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery Clinic of Hospital University Science of Malaysia. It also revealed that sneezing was the most common symptom, and that immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels do not correlate with symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
