- Abstract
The article discusses two clinical scenarios involving digoxin levels in older patients with advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD). Several patients with CKD are prescribed with digoxin because of the survival improvement in people with CKD and use of digoxin in atrial fibrillation. The scenarios demonstrate that free digoxin levels were effective in reinstating digoxin treatment and monitoring for rebound toxicity.
