- Abstract
The article discusses the legal rights of medical patients in relation to the reasonable person legal standard which is used to measure liability under American negligence law as of 2015, and it mentions the legal aspects of medical malpractice and informed consent in the U.S., as well as the concept of a reasonable patient. Physician-patient relations are examined, along with the differences between general negligence and medical negligence laws in America.
