- Abstract
In 1490, Juan Ramírez de Guzmán and his wife Mrs. Brianda Portocarrero founded a entailed state, which most important property was the dehesa de Villaverde (a pasture). In 1602, the house was magnified with the title of condes de Villaverde (Counts of Villaverde). At the beginning of the 18th century, the line of succession of the Guzmán family ended and the entailed state was inherited successively by the marqués de Valparaíso (Marquis of Valparaíso), the conde de Torrejón (Count of Torrejón) and the conde de Villariezo (Count of Villariezo). Their incomes along the 18th and 19th century can be measured and valued by to ways. One is analyzing the income liquidation when the state owner changes and the other is the fact that the Marquis of Valparaíso was kidnapped by the supporters of Charles VI, the Emperor.
