- Abstract
During the commissioning of Nuclear Power Plant Atucha II, a number of tests are required with the objective of demonstrating the reliability and safety of equipment and facilities. Throughout those tests, a series of measurements were taken in order to determine the stress states of different components of the primary and secondary systems, with the objective of verifying the calculation models used during the design stage. In this work we present, in particular, results of the strain measurements in pipes of the primary system connected to the steam generator during ramps of temperature and pressure. We describe the instrumentation used, the details of the measurement point, the acquisition system, and the entire process applied to the signals, including filters and corrections. Finally, we discuss some of the results obtained. With those results, the calculation models were verified correctly.
