- Abstract
This article is a comment on a study by Liu et al. that examines the impact of COVID-19 infection on the mental health of family members of ICU patients. The authors of the comment provide recommendations for enhancing the study. They suggest further exploration of the findings related to anxiety and PTSD, as well as the role of depression in contributing to mental health symptoms. They also raise concerns about the exclusion criteria used in the study, which may introduce bias, and the reliance on self-reporting for data collection. The authors conclude by emphasizing the importance of future research that includes a broader range of participants and considers the participants' mental health before the study.
