The article provides information on the Energy Management Program at the University of Virginia (UVa) in Charlottesville, Virginia which has intensified efforts on demand-side energy conservation opportunities. Topics include the keys to an effective demand-side energy management at UVa such as the implementation of a Building Automation System (BAS), several demand-side improvements made in all of its buildings such as lighting upgrades, and water consumption at UVa.
