- Abstract
The article focuses on the importance of assessment in fostering institutional change in the U.S. The authors inferred that assessment is a key in the development and implementation of successful programs which strengthen the academic achievement and persistence of college freshmen. They averred that the collaboration among faculty, advisors, and librarians can foster more involvement in learning. They added that stakeholders should be informed about assessment activities to gain their support.
