- Abstract
This article evaluates information obtained from interviews conducted with representatives of municipal agencies involved in air-quality education. The information was evaluated in order to discover which concepts and skills were perceived as being important for citizens who are faced with health concerns regarding the quality of their air. The interviews concluded that these concerns include the sources, impact, detection, and transport of air pollutants. These learning goals are evaluated as they appear in six undergraduate liberal arts chemistry textbooks.
