- Authors
Wilson, Amanda J.; Bonevski, Billie; Jones, Alison L.; Henry, David A.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which described an in-depth analysis of the quality and content of news items regarding new cancer interventions in Australian media. Researchers collected stories found in Media Doctor Australia media-monitoring Web sites about reported cancer interventions. The findings revealed that most of the poorer aspects of content of the news items are directly attributed to the researchers. The study also suggested the need for researchers and journals to further ensure higher standard of cancer report and information.
