- Abstract
In the article "Peptide-Based Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Self-Assemblies for Ultrasensitive and Visual Detection of Heparin," Hai Zhang, Xiaofei Chen, Quan Li, and their colleagues present a new method for detecting heparin in vivo. They have developed a peptide-derived supramolecular self-assembly system that uses gold nanoclusters and tetraphenylethene to co-assemble into nanoparticles. This approach allows for ultrasensitive detection of heparin, with a low limit of detection, and produces a dramatic fluorescence color change that can be easily observed with the naked eye on paper. This research has potential applications in clinical monitoring and point-of-care testing.
