- Abstract
The wheel-rail relationship, vehicle suspension mode and running characteristics of suspended monorail are quite different from those of traditional rail transit. In order to design a reasonable turnout alignment, this paper studies and determines the allowable passing speed, lateral alignment and the calculation or value method of the suspended monorail turnout alignment parameters, including radius of curve, length of circular curve and intermediate straight line, switch distance and line spacing according to the technical characteristics, traffic requirements, vehicle parameters of the suspension monorail with reference to some research results of plane curve parameters of some lines and the relevant design regulations in railway, subway and straddle monorail. On this basis, a series of turnout alignment schemes with different speed grades, curve radius, line spacing and intermediate straight line length are designed. The main findings include: (1) The relationship formula between the turnout radius and the unbalanced lateral acceleration and the lateral inclined angle of the vehicle is determined. ( 2) The minimum turnout radiuses at different speeds are calculated. On the basis of satisfying the safety of vehicle passage, the turnout radius should be 30m and 50m respectively when the lateral speed is 15km / h and 25km / h, and the maximum allowed crossing speeds of the two turnouts of different radius are calculated under the conditions of with and without passengers. (3) The length of the turnout curve and the intermediate straight line are not restricted by the full wheelbase of vehicle and the wheelbase of bogie, and they can be used as reference indexes when conditions are available.
