- Abstract
The article presents a study which determines the magnitude of brain cholinesterase (ChE) depression associated with acephate concentrations and the acephate tissue concentrations. It says that rainbow trout were maintained in a tank at 13°C and were randomly assigned to treatment groups, allowing the trout to acclimatize in glass aquaria for 48 hours. Results show that brain ChE activity was depressed in trout exposed for 24 hours to 400 milligram (mg) acephate per liter.
