- Abstract
The article "German Didactics and Gender" criticizes the inadequate treatment of the dimensions of gender and gender in the training of German teachers. The authors Nadine Bieker and Kirsten Schindler draw on approaches from various research fields and attempt to transfer them to the current state of German didactic research. The article provides an overview of the basics of German instruction, the competencies of German instruction, and overarching aspects such as methodology, diagnostics, and heterogeneity. The authors also analyze selected works of children's and youth literature as well as factual texts regarding their gender-sensitive potential for German instruction.
