- Abstract
A letter is presented describing the case of a man who presented with left globe rupture associated with massive suprachoroidal hemorrhage (SCH) with a kissing configuration. The use of a tissue-type plasminogen activator (tPA) was chosen to induce clot lysis and for drainage. A vitrectomy was also performed to remove the blood clot and to release vitreous incarceration in the wound. The tPA treatment reportedly provided an excellent visual outcome.
