- Title
CREATION AND CONTEXT: A THEOLOGICAL FRAMEWORK FOR CONTEXTUAL THEOLOGY.
- Authors
Cortez, Marc
- Abstract
The article outlines a theological framework for contextual theology based on insights provided by the person and work of the triune God, creation, sin, revelation and the church. The tendency to view contextualization as a syncretistic blending of the Christian faith with pre-existing set of beliefs is one of the predicaments for the development of contextual theology. A prime exemplar for theological methodology is found in the communicative agency of God as viewed through the person and work of Jesus Christ. It cites the concerns shared by the globalization movement and creation theology.
