- Abstract
The authors reflect on the role of scientific societies in facilitating the integration of science and conservation policy. Topics include some of the institutional arrangements for this integration such as training and professional exchanges for individual scientists and conservation practitioners, the importance of this integration for achieving the goals of nongovernmental organizations such as the Society for Conservation Biology and the roles of a science broker and a science networker.
