- Abstract
The article reports on the study which assesses the risk of tuberculosis (TB) infection by different occupational groups and units. Results show that the overall prevalence of tuberculin reactivity was 6% with predicting factors for tuberculin skin test (TST) reactivity, including age, history of household TB contact and working years of work as health care workers (HCWs). It was then demonstrated that there is a higher risk of latent infection in a well-defined groups of homogeneous population of HCWs.
