- Abstract
The article analyzes the omnipresence of animals and domestication as political fiction in French medieval literature. The theme of animals in medieval literature as a subject in animal studies is discussed. Several works including "Le Roman de Renart," "Chevalier au lion" by Chrétien de Troyes, and "Le Dit du lévrier" by Jean de Condé are examined.
