- Title
Rural Remote and Metropolitan Area 3: The forgotten RRMA.
- Authors
May, Jenny
- Abstract
The article reports a study presenting the General Practice (GP) profile of a Rural Remote and Metropolitan Area (RRMA) 3 town including the workforce needs of regional centers in Tamworth, New South Wales. The significant response rate of the subjects stresses the significance of GO/patient ratios and workforce paucity to regional GP populations. Apart from this, the study also notes issues involving the shortage of overseas trained doctors and the scarcity of young GPs.
