- Abstract
The article presents a study which evaluates the resistance index (RI) and peak systolic velocity (PSV) aspects of Doppler in the maternal-fetal circulation before and 5 and 24 hours after tocolysis with oral nifedipine. The study uses Doppler to assess the uterine, umbilical and fetal middle cerebral (MCA) arteries of 47 pregnant women undergoing nifedipine tocolysis at different time-points. The study analyzes the time effect and compares the values of the variables at different time-points.
