- Abstract
The article presents two medical research that focuses on antenatal corticosteroids in reducing neonatal mortality. A study by D. Roberts and S. Dalziel have supported the continued use of a single course of antenatal corticosteroids in accelerating fetal lung maturation in women who are at risk of preterm birth. On the other hand, a clinical trial by C. A. Crowther and J. E. Harding have revealed that repeat doses of prenatal corticosteroids may reduce the severity of neonatal lung disease.
