- Abstract
The article discusses the proposed use of mediation to address legal issues involving an increase in land acquisitions in Uganda, the New Forests Company's (NFC's), a conflict over NFC's timber-harvesting contract with the Ugandan government, and the eviction of thousands of Kiboga, Uganda residents by employees of the NFC. The NFC's commitment to responsible business practices is examined, along with the legal rights of displaced farmers from Kiboga, Uganda.
