- Abstract
A response is provided to the article "A post-genomic surprise. The molecular reinscription of race in science, law and medicine," by Troy Duster, which appears within the issue. The article discusses the relationship between science, concepts of race, postracialism, or colour-blindness, and critical race theory (CRT). An overview of Duster's perspective on how biological science conceptualizes race, including in regard to racial differences, is provided. The relationship between science and racism, including in regard to what is referred to as scientific racism, is discussed.
