- Abstract
The study was aimed to determine the relationship of various dimensions of organizational climate and job satisfaction of teachers in open and closed climate school and also to find the difference between teachers in open and closed climate schools on the variable of job satisfactions. Study is descriptive and comparative in nature. 200 teachers of senior secondary schools of Haridwar district of Uttarakhand were chosen. The sample was chosen by the method of multistage randomization of clusters. The Organizational Climate Descriptive Questionnaire (OCDQ) developed by Halpin and Croft (1963) to know the type of organizational climate and Job Satisfaction Scale (JSS) developed by Meera Dixit (1993) to measure job satisfaction, were used for data collection. Mean, S.D., SEM, Skewness, Kurtosis, coefficient of correlation and't' test were applied to analyze the data. It is found that,. some dimensions of organizational climate showed significant relationship with job satisfaction in open and closed climate schools but some dimensions showed insignificant relationship with job satisfaction. There exists no significant difference between teachers in open and closed climate schools on the variable of job satisfaction in the present study.
