- Abstract
The article explores the gendered aspects of self-representation in autobiographical writings by Protestant German theologians in post-1945 Germany. The author analyzes the memoirs of theologians such as Walter Künneth, Helmut Thielicke, Walter Birnbaum, and Wolfgang Trillhaas. Other topics include denazification, compliance with the Nazi regime, and the role of Jews in their autobiographical narratives.
