- Abstract
The article presents research examining the association between maternal height and child mortality, anthropometric failure, and anemia in India. The design and setting of the study involving data analysis of information on mothers and children taken from the 2005-2006 national Family Health Survey in India is explained. Outcomes measured included mortality, stunting, wasting, and anemia. Results indicated that maternal height was inversely associated with child mortality and anthropometric failure in a representative sample of households in India.
