- Abstract
The article reports on teh effectivness of accurate measurement of serum creatinine for the correct estimation of glomerular filtration rate. Topics discussed include problems of analytical interferences by non-creatinine chromogens such as ketones, glucose and proteins; use of Jaffe and enzymatic techniques for analysing degree of interference by glucose and total protein on serum creatinine measurements; and use of enzymatic methods for measuring the same.
