- Abstract
The article presents the author's insights on the practice of surgical pathology in Canada. He asserts that surgical pathology has established itself in the middle of a whirlpool of public mistrust in the country. As a profession, he states that pathologists must conform with the necessary protocols to ensure optimal diagnostic accuracy and patient care. He believes that the future of surgical pathology is promising as it stands firmly at the interface of applied and basic molecular biology.
