- Abstract
Agricultural broadcasting became widespread in the Ottoman Empire from the 1880s and became the broadcasting sector in which the II Legitimacy period was the most vibrant. Due to the fact that the Ottoman Empire was an agricultural country, agricultural issues were important in economic development and in this context, the examples of agricultural publishing increased. Felahat magazine was one of the agricultural publication organs published during the II. Constitutional Monarchy period. Although the content of Felahat, which consisted of agricultural experts employed as teachers in the Ministry of Agriculture and various educational institutions of the Ottoman Empire, generally covered agricultural subjects, it was also published in other sectors of the economy. Stating that the agricultural development of the Ottoman Empire was more essential, Felahat touched upon the problems of the agricultural sector in this context and offered solutions for the Ottoman Empire to be a developed agricultural sector, whatever policies it develops. In this study, it has been tried to show the problems and policies of the agricultural sector of the Ottoman Empire in line with the articles published in the period of 1913-1918 in the Felahat journal.
