- Abstract
Orientation in prenatal assistance and influence in quality of life of healthy pregnant women Musculoskeletal discomforts are observed in almost all pregnant women. The physiotherapist, during a class for pregnant women (CP), may help to increase quality of life (QoL) in these women. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of a CP on QoL of pregnant women. This was a quase-experimental study with pregnant women (n = 44) grouped in accordance with participation (n = 24) or not (n = 20) in a CP. It was provided educational activities and guidance on exercises during pregnancy, the moment of birth and the puerperium. The pregnant women's quality of life was analyzed through the Medical Outcomes Study 36 - item short - form health survey (SF-36).
