- Authors
STODDART, MARK C. J.; TINDALL, DAVID B.
- Abstract
The article presents a qualitative study of the views of environmentalists in British Columbia about the relationships between gender, feminism, and environmentalism in the 1990s. Environmental politics surrounding old-growth forests in the province are discussed, including the heavy involvement of women in protest movements against the logging industry, and the place of ecofeminism in these movements. Study results are then discussed, including the perceptions of male and female environmental activists concerning feminism and ecofeminist discourses.
