- Abstract
A highly efficient strategy for the asymmetric enantio‐ and diastereoselective synthesis of dihydrofuran derivatives was developed. The desired dihydrofurans were obtained in good yields (up to 81 %) with high enantioselectivities (up to 99 % ee) and excellent diastereoselectivities (up to >99 % dr) via one‐pot Michael addition of 1,3‐dicarbonyl derivatives to the substituted nitroolefins and a sequential I2‐mediated cyclization.
