- Abstract
The article calls for different health care providers to become ophthalmic specific professionals through the Academy of Ophthalmic Education (AOE) so they may serve the growing population of ophthalmic-related profession in Canada. The author cites a research which says that formally trained personnel facilitate smoother patient flow, produce more accurate test results, and increase productivity than personnel trained on-the-job. He adds that with increased productivity comes increased revenue and the ability to achieve pay scales, which will then reflect a professional status, assist in employee recruitment, and promote employee retention. Lastly, it invites potential candidates for the said job to get connected with AOE for more details.
