- Abstract
The article discusess Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights court case Barbulescu v. Romania addressing workplace privacy rights. In this case the court found that monitoring of an employee's email account without their explicit informed consent, resulted in the violation of his right to respect for private life and correspondence within the meaning of Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
