- Abstract
The article discusses the role of technology in rulemaking and politics in the U.S. It explores the use of technology as a tool for engagement in a democracy, noting how politicians benefit from it on their campaigns. Particular concern is given to the projects undertaken by the Administrative Conference, under the chairmanship of Paul R. Verkuil, which focuses on the electronic rulemaking (e-Rulemaking) and the use of technology in the administration. The author offers his views on the project of the administration which aims to establish openness in the Government, particularly on the issue of the e-Rulemaking.
