- Abstract
Brake linings which are used in automotive disks are usually composed of various components. The expected properties from a brake lining are appropriate standard value of wear resist and friction coefficient. Also it must be economical. Brake lining extremely warms up during braking due to friction. The braking performance of braking lining has been changeable or braking lining has been undergone to mechanical deformation due to excessive temperature. Recently, the production of brake lining containing non-asbestos that is used as a basic structure element in brake lining have been increased because of the environmental pollution and negative health effects of asbestos. In this study, glass fibre was used to the produced brake lining. The wear tests and the friction coefficient change experiments with temperature have been studied by prepared equipment. The results of tests and experiments have been compared with the opinion of all effects.
