- Title
Zeigt her Eure Richter – Kino im Gerichtssaal.
- Abstract
The article titled "Show us your judges - Cinema in the courtroom" deals with the topic of video conferences in court proceedings. It refers to a case in which a plaintiff argued that his right to a fair trial was violated because during the video conference, only the presiding judge was visible. The Federal Fiscal Court (BFH) ruled in favor of the plaintiff and overturned the verdict. The article also discusses possible problems and fantasies related to video conferences, such as sound issues or the behavior of judges outside the camera's view. It is also mentioned that according to a new draft law by the federal government, video hearings can be requested in civil proceedings and judgments can be announced online.
