- Abstract
This paper introduces the trigger conditions for applying and relieving the parking brake, the air circuit control principle, the electrical control principle and the electrical safety loop of the parking brake for exporting Laos centralized EMU, and compares the parking brake design concept of CR400AF powerdistributed EMU. The change law of braking force with brake cylinder pressure when the air brake and parking brake are applied simultaneously is studied, and the change curves of braking force with brake cylinder pressure of the vehicle at different stages are drawn. For the proposed parking brake control scheme, the calculation and test verification of the parking brake capability of the whole train are carried out. The results show that the parking brake can meet the requirement of not slipping on a ramp of 24‰ for a train with a fixed passenger load, and the application, release and monitoring functions of the parking brake are normal, indicating that the parking brake scheme meets the design requirements. The EMU has been in trial operation with passengers for nearly one year in Laos with good results. The parking brake function and performance parameters meet the application requirements
