- Abstract
The article discusses a right to privacy under the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in relation to an analysis of whether it is legal for American law enforcement officials to utilize fictitious online social media accounts in order to interact with criminal suspects. The relationship between law and technology is addressed, along with the search warrant case Riley v. California and criminal law litigation matters such as United States v. Meregildo and United States v. Gatson.
