- Abstract
The article explores the role of an accountant in forensic medicine. The forensic accountant is said to recreate economic reality without the aid of conventional financial data and source documents. In determining the victims' economic loss, the forensic accountant reportedly begins by finding out the amount of inventory secured before the robbery. The forensic accountant then determines a value of cost of goods sold. In addition, the forensic accountant analyzes historical financial information to find out the average length of time inventory was held before it was sold.
