Does Modern Science Already Allow Us to Manage the Weather?

- Abstract
Cloudseeding, a controversial practice of manipulating weather patterns, is being used by governments and private entities around the world for various purposes. New Delhi, India, has turned to cloudseeding to increase rainfall and improve air quality. The roots of weather manipulation can be traced back to 1946 when U.S. scientists dispersed dry ice particles into a cloud, causing visible snowfall. Cloudseeding has been used to induce snowfall in ski resorts, increase rainfall in drought-stricken areas, and clear skies for events. However, the effectiveness of cloudseeding remains a topic of debate, and concerns about its potential weaponization and environmental impact persist. As weather modification technology continues to develop, global coordination and regulation are necessary to avoid catastrophic effects and mitigate the rise of conspiracy theories.
