- Abstract
The article focuses on the complex superstructure cadmium selenide-cadmium sulfide (CdSe-CdS) nanorods constructed by researcher Charles Cao and colleagues to demonstrate impressive control over the formation of colloidal superparticles. It mentions that CdSe-Cds nanorods are formed by adding the micelle-forming surfactant dodecyl triammonium bromide to an organic solution containing nanorods. It states that the process exploits the depletion of passivating surface ligands at the nanorods.
