- Abstract
The article discusses a global health security (GHS) project conducted in Uganda in March to September 2013 by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Uganda Ministry of Health (MoH). Topics addressed include the increased capacity of Ugandan laboratories' diagnostic and specimen referral networks, enhancing communications and information systems for outbreak response, and developing a public health emergency operations center.
