- Title
Castellanos y Leoneses en América.
- Abstract
The book "Castellanos y Leoneses en América" by Arsenio Dacosta, from the University of Salamanca, addresses the self-representation of citizens from different American countries who were born in Castilla y León or are descendants of immigrants from that region. The study is based on a collection of memoirs of European emigration to America that emerged from the Memoria de la Emigración Castellana y Leonesa Awards. The book analyzes the reception of the biographical method in Anthropology and other Social and Human Sciences, as well as the narrative contents related to the migratory experience and identity. On the other hand, the book "Etnografía de la hiperactividad" by Nuria Tria is an ethnography on the psychiatric diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children, adolescents, and young people, based on a long period of fieldwork in a secondary school.
